Time to rip the Band-Aid off

To start with, I need to give heart felt recognition

My wife has been my rock throughout this time and although this might seem a little weird on a site like this, I need to Thank her for the love, support and understanding.
Being there throughout, guiding me with so much more than common sense, providing, grounded insights and views, Oh and the most reliable spell checker ever.
Its more than fair to say that, this 50 something mad project, would not be where it is today without her

Who are "We or Us"

Ok lets get into it !

Flip A Load both in the USA and UK are a Trading Name of GenX enterprises, a small outfit. Small enough to still care about values and integrity in Business and Im going to take you through the thought process in this comment

The idea of Flip A Load has pretty much evolved over the last 2 years into what you see today; however, one thing has not evolved and that would be our goals and values; they've remained the same.

Its cliche, but one day I ordered a Whiteboard from Amazon and some pens and started to design Flip A Load; the White board contents, just looked like a random set of Junk scribblings that one of my own pre-school kids could probably interperet better than any adult. Maybe that just says something about me personnally, who knows.

Anyway, this kind of started after a few poor experiences in my own working life and a desire to do things a little fairer, Maybe a better way to descibe it is, that I wanted to do things differently and bring a little human touch into business.

Who am I

Im a 54 year old guy, probably a little crazy and detached from reality; some may say. Who most definately wears my heart on my sleeve.

I've worked in so many different Industries in my life, from being in the Army at 15 and three quarters , back in the day you could do that, then later on in life, digging trenches in highways for utilities, groundworks, construction site labouring.. Painting White lines on Highways, Delivery Driving, Van Driving, all the way to taking second Jobs, delivering Pizzas, whilst working on Construction; Im not shy of work

Move On, its not a suspense Novel !

At some point around my 30s I decided to go learn something in University, thought it may help with my Job prospects and all that; Well I studied Software Development and Multi-media and did OK I think

A little later after applying for a bucket full of Jobs, I landed a Job in Tech Support, for an email filtering company. That was pretty cool and I learnt quite a lot of really interesting stuff about email delivery. I wont go into it, I wont bore you, I promise; But it goes without saying, that it was totally different to digging trenches, which by the way, was one of the best Jobs Ive ever had and it is relevent, because it instilled in me (An Honest Days Work for an Honest Pay-Packet)

It went well for a while, I settled into things in the life of Tech; but later I moved to a different email filtering company and after some time I was promoted a few times, back to back, which was pretty useful when youve got young kids,; the money helps.

For some reason and Im still not quite sure how it happened considering my work life, background, I was promoted to Global Operations Director and Head of Customer Services. Dont get me wrong, this didnt happen overnight.

Having a diverse work background, I'd like to think, kept me a little grounded and the fact that we have three Autistic Children, That definately keeps you grounded

Anyways -, having that diverse background helped, it provided insight and they werent always positive, especially when forming opinions about business practices. I felt, and this is my own opinion; that when making money as a business, it always felt that it was, most of the time, at the detriment of the individuals performing the actual service. I always felt that the people performing the real hard manual work, never really got what they should have

Dont get me wrong, Its my own opinion and Im not saying that all businesses are like that; not at all, its just my own experince of business

I can feel some people saying already "Well thats Business" or "This Guy is so Naive" That may well be, but I just think it can be done differently, with a more Human touch, knowing that the Folks actually providing the physical service, like Van Drivers, Truck Drivers get what they are entitled to rather than Logisitics Apps and Transport Exchanges businesses taking a cut or charging massive subscription fees .

Flip A Load USA and Flip A Load UK was built with the idea and values which have not changed throughout. The concept is really simple and relies on the value : (An Honest Days Work for An Honest Pay-Packet)

We wanted to build something where every Member of the General Public, Service Provider, Hauler, Transport Provider, Logisitics Company, Freight Forwarder, Fleet, Retailer, can Post a Load onto Flip A Load for a single Website usage fee and thats $10.00 in the USA rather than paying massive upfront annual subscription fees to closed network logisitcs platforms or delivery Apps taking a chunk of what Drivers get and/or what customers pay If a member of the Public is moving Home, well they dont have to go to comparison move sites or search Facebook groups, they can just post a Load and drivers , anyone who has the correct person power and vehicle can bid on the Job for free, and the Job Poster / Load poster can then choose the best bid , (Bit like ebay, but the other way around) and once the provider, bid winner, reconfirms they are still available and pays a $10.00 Web site usage fee, rather than massive subscription fees, contact details are shared with each other, directly within the Load Specifications page

We stay true to our values, that the person physically doing the work, is paid directly by the load poster and we / us , never at any stage take a single cent of the Load Posters fee, because the fee never crosses our hands

There's no signup fees, no biding fees, You dont have bidding credits. You dont have to buy a massive annual membership subscriptions, You dont have to lose a percentage of what the customer actually pays, As the Genral Public, You dont have to search Facebook groups for drivers and you can choose the bid that is right for you, knowing that the provider/Driver is getting everything you pay them, rather than in some cases wondering why your not getting the service you think youve paid for because you didnt know that the driver didnt get anything like what you paid,
